Since I was a boy, I have always had a spiritual connection with woodcraft.  Some of my earliest memories with my father involved cutting and splitting wood in the Northern forests of Wisconsin.  When I am in my wood shop, I feel like I am "home".  After harvesting wood with my father, my grandmother would tell me tales of the great woodworkers of Norse mythology; allowing a portal to a past time and place.

Woodworking is one of the activities that nurtures my soul; connects me to nature; brings me back to my roots.  Forming, crafting, cutting and sanding wood is one way I show love to my family, friends, community and local businesses.  I am a "throwback" who believes in "old world" quality and not the cheaply made goods we have been so accustomed to in our contemporary lives.
